KPMG Luxembourg announces that Alain Picquet is in the final stages of handing over his duties as Head of Advisory and Markets at KPMG. The handover comes as part of a succession process which will see Pascal Denis appointed Head of Advisory and assuming Alain’s responsibilities on the KPMG top management team, the Executive Committee.

Alain Picquet, who has been with the firm for over 26 years, will officially leave the company on 31 December 2014, allowing him to continue the process and fully transition responsibilities to his successors.

Georges Bock, KPMG Managing Partner, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Picquet on behalf of KPMG:
“It is no exaggeration to say that Alain has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s success. Under his leadership, the Advisory department was created, developed and then expanded over time to become the strategic function that it is today. Many of our clients have benefited from his strategic vision and in-depth knowledge of the banking industry over the years and a huge number of our employees from his mentoring and guidance. He will be sorely missed by a great many of us.”
The firm has taken the opportunity to divide Mr. Picquet’s responsibilities between two successors: Pascal Denis as Head of Advisory and Executive Committee member and Thierry Ravasio as Head of Markets. Philippe Neefs will replace Ravasio in his former role as Head of Private Equity.
