After having fail in the acquisition by Fidelity FIS, could Misys also loose its intention to merge with Temenos ? Yesterday, Vista Equity Partners proposes to acquire the british company. The investor completes the acquisition of Thomson Reuters Trade and Risk Management Business and opens Turaz for this activity. On the other hand, Temenos, could be reactivate other tracks, e.a. with SAP ?

The Board of Misys confirms that it has received an approach from Vista Equity Partners consisting of a non-binding indicative proposal to acquire the entire outstanding share capital of Misys for cash that may or may not lead to an offer being made.

« In accordance with Rule 2.6(a) of the Code, Vista Equity Partners must, by no later than 5.00pm on 19 March 2012, announce a firm intention to make an offer for Misys in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer, in which case the announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the Code applies. This deadline will only be extended with the consent of the Panel in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Code. »
