Gemalto announced its 2014 EMEA Annual Channel Partner Award winners in Athens at a first joint Awards Ceremony last night. Gemalto is significantly expanding its global network of channel partners focused on data security solutions for enterprises, financial institutions and other organizations.

“Through the acquisition of SafeNet, Gemalto has extended its reach into the Enterprise market in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and will further support our goal of market growth. All of our partner network will now also benefit from the opportunity to work with a stronger combined portfolio,” said Gary Clark, vice president of EMEA Sales & Operations for Identity and Data Protection at Gemalto.

SIA Group, a Spanish reseller and Elatec, a German reseller jointly walked away with the “Channel Partner of the Year” award.

SIA Group was recognized for their innovative approach in dealing with customer challenges, especially their ability to address some of the key crypto management pain points of major public sector entities. The SIA Group’s revenue, especially on the SafeNet Hardware Security Module portfolio, has been consistently outstanding. Elatec was recognized for their impressive growth during the last two years. Their commitment to the extension of their business has been truly remarkable and in a very short period of time they have extended their business to such an extent that it is now equally balanced across the two major markets within the DACH region.

Dutch reseller, Avensus, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT), a System Integrator in Qatar, were recognized as joint ” New Channel Partner of the Year”.

Avensus was awarded for their incredible hard work and focus in bidding for a large authentication deal with a large household insurance brand in The Netherlands. Their dedication, knowledge of SafeNet solutions and perseverance resulted in significant commercial success and a healthy pipeline for the current year.

ICT was recognized for their superb management of a major project with a public sector authority responsible for the design, delivery and management of a major project in Qatar representing nearly the entire portfolio of Gemalto products.

The “Distributor of the Year” award went to both, UK distributor, Exclusive Networks and Shifra, a Dubai-based distributer.

Exclusive Networks increased their revenue towards Gemalto threefold and made a significant investment in their technical expertise during 2014, becoming the first accredited training center for SafeNet Authentication Services in the region.

Shifra’s outstanding VAR recruitment efforts during 2014 resulted in ICT, CityServ (Qatar), Al Khaldiya (Kuwait), Cell Info tech, SecureTech, Wharf and Mideast Data (UAE) joining the Gemalto reseller network. Their dynamic business development and lead generation activities contributed to their success.

“We rely heavily on our strategic channel partnerships with leading distributors and resellers across the EMEA region and we will continue to invest in building a strong channel to support our growing customer base and enabling them to develop new solutions. Congratulations to all the nominees and of course to the winners who stood out for their dedication and support,” added Clark.
