Tomorrow, the ISACA Luxembourg Chapter organises its 2d InfoSec Day, putting new stones ahead of the IT security challenges.

For its second edition at the Abbaye de Neumünster on February 8, the Information Security Day in Luxembourg will be opened by Manuel Fischer, Senior Vice President of Cetrel. After the kick-off speech, the Plenary Session will begin, to enlight the following topics : « How did the vulnerability market pose a threat to the business landscape ? What were the measures taken over the last 5-7 years to counter these threats ? What are the emerging vulnerabilities, attacks trends and countermeasures ? »The rest of the day will be dedicated to numerous presentations given by IT Security Experts on the Information Security System and to one to one meetings.

In history

The ISACA Luxembourg Chapter was created end 2007. More than 100 information technology professionals in Luxembourg have joined to form a new chapter of ISACA, a nonprofit IT governance association with more than 65,000 members in 140 countries wordwide. The idea to form the Luxembourg chapter—ISACA’s 198th—goes back 20 years, when the regional ISACA chapter was created as BeNeLux, which encompassed Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. Ten years ago, Netherlands became an independent chapter, and in October, so too did Luxembourg. For its 2nd Information Security Day, ISACA Luxembourg Chapter, falls back in history at Abbaye de Neumünster, but looks ahead. « I hope that this event will be as high as the expectations and that it will bring the answers to the questions of the IT Community, Jean- Yves Mathieu, ISACA Lux Board Member says. This event is meant to be of high quality at all levels, from the organization to the venue, plenary speakers and partners giving a presentation. Based on your feedback from the 1st edition, it came out among others that partners should include a demo in their presentation; this will be the case in February. This coming event is meant to be yours. Therefore, all your comments are welcome for having a great day all together ! »
