L’Institut luxembourgeois de la normalisation, de l’accréditation, de la sécurité et qualité des produits et services (ILNAS) est une administration publique sous l’autorité du Ministre de l’Économie. Elle est notamment en charge de la normalisation, de l’accréditation, de la surveillance du marché (produits non-alimentaires), de la surveillance des Prestataires de Services de Confiance (ex. : signature électronique) et des Prestataires de Services de Dématérialisation ou de Conservation (PSDC) et de la métrologie légale et industrielle. Dans l’exécution de ses missions relatives à la normalisation et à la métrologie,  l’ILNAS est supporté par l’Agence pour la normalisation et l’économie de la connaissance (ANEC GIE).

In the frame of the National Standardization Strategy 2020-2030, ILNAS published on Tuesday November 21, 2023 its new report “Quantum technologies and technical standardization” and the new 2023 edition of the Standards Analysis of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector (ANS TIC). These two documents were presented during a breakfast organized by ILNAS and ANEC GIE on the day of publication.

The adoption of a new product, service or process by an end user is highly conditioned on the level of trust she or he grants to it. Serving as a true lever, the concept of trust is very important for the economy (for example, within conformity assessment activities) but is also crucial in the context of research and innovation. Although these activities do not primarily target end users, the consideration of trust remains necessary in order achieve reliable and high-quality results.
