In the background of a struggling financial industry, new innovative ideas are born. They are nurtured in a protective cocoon to grow into impressive butterflies, promising to constitute the basis for the recovery of the financial sector. In order to give these butterflies some additional warmth and encouragement, Accenture is organizing the Accenture BeLux Innovation Awards for Financial services.
Accenture, through the Innovation Awards, gathers creative financial services-related concepts, on the Belgian and Luxembourgish market, which are then subjected to a selection process, resulting in an expert jury award and a public voting award.

The purpose of the Accenture Innovation Awards for Financial Services is to promote and reward innovative, financial services-related new products and concepts on the Belgian and Luxembourg markets, resulting in a Jury Award and a Public Award. Following a first success in 2012, the 2013 edition has been launched since last summer.

60 innovative concepts went through a selection process. In December, a jury of professionals selected the 25 most innovative concepts. This “Top 25” is now presented to the public to select the winner of this year’s Public Award.

The winners will be announced during the main event ceremony on February 21st in Brussels and shortly after, on March 7th in Luxembourg.

The Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat (Luxembourg) has created the Agence Belle Etoile, a branch located in the shopping center with the same name in Luxembourg. With the aim of attractiveness, this agency incorporates new technologies such as the Surface (large touch screen) and the new iNUI Flyfolder i.e. a gesture recognition system that allows customers to view flyers and brochures in a fun and interactive way. Customer can be informed and advised in a professional and modern way. The agency is designed as a shop with counselors where the customer can move freely.
